MEET LARRY

ONE BAD CONTRACTOR. A MUCH BIGGER STORY THAN EXPECTED.

What begins with an ordinary problem becomes the start of an increasingly ridiculous saga. Larry doesn’t remain just an AC repairman—he becomes the character around whom an entire continuing story begins to form.

HALF-INSTALLED UNITS. FULLY COMMITTED CRIMES. ZERO COLD AIR.

Inspired by a true story that happened to a friend of Frank, "Larry the AC Man" turns a contractor nightmare into a honky-tonk comedy about the most unreliable AC technician in the tri-county area. The thermostat is blinking 98, Larry is apparently wanted downtown, and somehow he still needs fifty bucks.

THE STORY

THE STORY.

It started with a true story that happened to a friend.

Then came Larry.

“Larry the AC Man” takes the universally frustrating experience of being ghosted by a contractor in the middle of summer and pushes it into increasingly ridiculous territory.

Larry has a duffel bag, one flip-flop, three IDs, a fake mustache and apparently more urgent problems than fixing an air conditioner. Meanwhile, the thermostat is blinking 98 and his customer is slowly melting.

At the center of the whole disaster is Larry’s remarkably consistent financial requirement:

Fifty bucks.

The result is a story-driven honky-tonk comedy built around escalating details, a recurring punchline and one spectacularly unreliable HVAC technician.

VERSE 1
Larry won't fix my AC Says he's "kinda tied up this week" Got a duffel bag, one flip-flop on Peekin' through the blinds at dawn Says, "Buddy, I'd help you out But they're lookin' for me downtown" He's got a wanted face on the six o'clock feed And a Post-it that says "I just need…"
CHORUS
"Fifty bucks, man, fifty bucks" Larry's whisperin' from his truck Sweatin' through July in this busted-up place He's peelin' out of town while I melt in my chair Larry won't fix my air He just needs fifty bucks
VERSE 2
He's got three IDs and a fake mustache Half a tank and a bag of trash Says, "I can't leave a paper trail So can you pay my gas in cash?" There's a dented ladder in the back And a sticker for a team he hates He says, "If anyone comes, you ain't seen me" While my thermostat blinks 98
CHORUS
"Fifty bucks, man, fifty bucks" Larry's whisperin' from his truck Sweatin' through July in this busted-up place He's peelin' out of town while I melt in my chair Larry won't fix my air He just needs fifty bucks
BRIDGE
I said, "Larry, what'd you even do?" He said, "It's kinda complicated, dude" Then he slipped on that one flip-flop Turned the key Yelled, "I'll text you from another state" And left me hummin' by the fan, half-baked
FINAL CHORUS
"Fifty bucks, man, fifty bucks" Larry's laughin' from his truck Sweatin' through July in this busted-up place He's chasin' down trouble while I sit and swear Larry won't fix my air He just needs fifty bucks (fifty bucks)
